Current activities
During my career, I have acquired a strong expertise in microbiology and nanobiophysics. I am now combining biological approaches to nanotechnology tools (mostly AFM modalities) to understand how microbial cell adhere on surfaces and form biofilms. Additionally, I use this mechanistic understanding to elaborate innovative bio-inpired strategies for antibiofilm protections.

Research career and fellowships
From 2016 : CNRS Researcher (CR1) Laboratory of Physical Chemistry and Microbiology for the Environment (LCPME), CNRS, University of Lorraine, France.
2015 – 2016 : Postdoc 2 Laboratory of Physical Chemistry and Microbiology for the Environment (LCPME), CNRS, University of Lorraine, France (Advisor: Dr. G. Francius)
2011 – 2015 : Postdoc 1 Nanomicrobio group, Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium (Advisor: Prof. Y. Dufrêne)
2010 – 2011 : Lecturer, Engineering school ENSCBP and Wine Institute ISVV, Bordeaux, France
2007 – 2010 : PhD, Microbiology Immunology (Honours), University of Bordeaux, France. Supervisor: Prof. T. Noël

Skills and competences
Atomic force microscopy applied to biological systems (mapping, adhesion, imaging): single-molecule force spectroscopy, single-cell force spectroscopy, topography.
Microbiology and molecular biology applied to yeast and bacteria
Infrared spectroscopy
